So I'm having dinner tonight with this guy... new client.... tons and tons of potential business at stake.

And this guy is hardcore.

Government, big oil, and fast-tracked to the tits.

And I'm listening to him, and thinking: "You, sir, are a doofus."

Of course what I'm really saying is: "Okay, I understand where you're coming from."

It got me to thinking about this place..... The OC.

Here, I just spew away. Whatever I'm thinking, I just say it.

So then I'm thinking about why that is. Why is it that I speak my mind here in all its gory detail, and do not in the BOOM HEADSHOT real life.

And I came up with a myriad of reasons. But the one that stood out - and caught me off guard - was that, it turns out, I really do respect your opinions, and value your your insights. I learn a lot here. A lot. From all of you.

Anyways, I ended the dinner thanking him for the meeting, and etc. "It was nice to finally put a face to the voice, and etc."

So it's only appropriate that I thank you guys as well.

seriously though, I allways worry about venting on this board sometimes. What if the person I'm venting about is an active member here or my CO or something. would be messed up to say the least.
