Damage by over-voltage
« on: August 22, 2005, 11:18:52 PM »
Say you lent your speakers (Logitech Z560) to an old lady, and said lady plugged em into the local 240V socket.

What would the damage be?
Replaceable fuse, or fried electronics?

I'd say you have to open it up and see. 240V, eh? Hrm... Could be that the plug unit's convertors fried, and it died before any damage could be done to the speakers themselves. Or it could be the power unit inside the speakers fried but the rest is okay. I'd say you really have to (carefully) open it up and see
