Find the location of the file. Note location of file. First step:
Right click file, check to see if it is set to Read Only. If so uncheck and attempt delete.
If this does not work, file may be in use. Go to step 2
Step 2:
Either ctrl alt del and close down any programs that are associated with the file, then try to delete, OR open a cmd prompt and type "del c:\directory1\directory2\l7ego8dm.ini" (putting the proper path in, no matter how complicated it may be) and hit ENTER. See if it allows you to or not. If not try step 3
Step 3:
Shut down PC. Restart and hit F8, selecting Safe Mode. When OS is loaded find file, attempt to delete. If all else fails boot to command prompt and attempt to delete file from there.
I usually can do it inside XP from a command prompt. But sometimes (rare occasions) that doesn't allow me to.
