Tile question

I got some desert tiles from faint,when i put them into the texsrc file,and rename everything ,after i go back into the TE too re-build my map with the new tiles there is no res file for my map?

Can i put the  tiles skuzzy hooked us up with into the TE for makin maps,and if so how?

You must "Build" those edited tiles to "shapes" in the Object Editor: for ex. build the "ter0003.til" to "ter0003.shp".

After building you find the "ter0003.shp" from the userlib folder. Drop it to the texsrc folder and that's it!;)

again probably a confusion between a tile and a tile. Is it *.til or *.bmp?

Anyways, you should not rename them. They need the terr**** names to function properly.

Wait, I think kanttori has the correct naming, the difference is the single 'r'.

The tiles have 1 r, the textures have 2. It seems likeky ted doesn't know the difference between the two.

What I meant was that when people talk about tiles, they can mean either *.bmp or *.til and that often causes confusion.

It's better use "texture" when speaking bmp- terrain texture files and "tile" when you speak terrain tile with objects' overlay. That's clear! ;)
