Logged in for a quick sortie or two yesterday afternoon. Was kind of a strange afternoon outside but didn't pay much attention.
Rolled a La5 toward a rook field where a few knights were harrassing the enemy.
Climbout was pretty quiet, 1 suicidal p38 came through but he never really got close to me. Shortly they are all down on the deck doing the congo off into the distance.
Inside AH the sun is shining, blue sky's, & I climb to my usual 8k and level off.
I arrive over the enemy field, a p51 is closing on one of my guys. So I send a quick check 6 and dive in. 2k out & closing,
1k, 800, the green guy goes Poof. 400 and I just open fire, when the pony see's me & jinks. We go around a couple of times till a lucky snap shot takes his engine. Next pass removes a wing.
Climbing a bit back towards the field, feeling good. Nothing like a kill to put you in a good mood.
As I approach the field at about 3k I notice we have someone at the city. About 6 enemy cons are upping. Hey, I havn't had a good vulch for a while, rock & roll.
Nose into the runway to see 3 bombers just lifting off, drones higher than the lead, I nose in, automaticly ducking ack.
Nice long burst on the lead buff, then its duck, dodge, roll, and pull up away from the ack.
Lead bomber goes down, kill # 2 fillth.
Ohhhoh, SWEET!, I'm almost out of ack range, buffer scrolls again.
Kill # 3 filth, kill # 4 filth. OMG I'm laughing. The 2 drones must have dove in & crashed one after the next. BANG
last possible ack shot off takes my engine.
Buffer scrolls again.
"Filth: Merry Christmast Ghosth"
I'm fighting the little la5 up, trying to get away from the field with no power when BAM.
God strikes, lighting bolt flicks forth.
Power goes off, I'm left sitting at my computer wondering who killed who.
Rain dumps out of the sky like god tips over a BIG barrel. (2.5 inches in about an hour )
I wonder if his text buffer scrolled up and if it did what it said?
To filth
Sorry bro, couldn't resist, but like some things that are too good to be true, I paid for it in the end.
To God
Nice shot man! Nailed me fair & square. Didn't really need to dump all that rain though. I was so scared I didn't dare fire up the computer for 2 hours afterwords.
