Can anybody help me with this?

Hi Schatzi, how are you doing? It's a bit you don't shoot me down! :D

I don't know if you already tried it, but I think that this thread may be of help.

I hope to see your movie soon, and to meet you in combat even sooner! ;)

Bye!

Hi Schatzi!

Nice film! Was it your first one? Yes, sometimes there's some roughness in the camera movement, and maybe a faster pace would have been appropriate, but nontheless is a nice one. And I like the soundtrack, I love the Queen!

Two things: why did you called it "The need for speed"? In almost every situation shown you didn't need speed... unless you meant that there's no need of fast planes to achieve a kill and have fun!

And, if I might ask, why do you fly a Hungarian painted Hurry?

Yes, was my first one.

Some of the stutters is AH film viewer thinking about the next frame... coulndt avoid that completly. And it was only halfway through the movie i found out how to fade one scene into another. Girls and technics

Faster Pace is difficult... were talking 120 mph here :D. But youre right, the beginning is very slow. But, it would have screwed timing with the soundtrack completly to change it, so i just left it like that.

The need for speed is from that quote at the beginning. thought it was funny to use it on a hurri1. yes, i guess your interpretation of it is accurate. The Mk1 might be slow, but it has lots of other good characteristics you can use for your advantage. That fight with the 205 i shot (change of music) had been going for a good five minutes before he bled enough E for me to get a shot. hurris are difficult to kill (as attested a bit later ;)) and every pass he lost a bit of speed.

That Romanian skin... i just like it best. Pure eyecandy reasons.

Thx for your input.

Edit: The scenes where i *needed more speed*... i had to cut them... too boring ;)

Thank you for answering my pressing questions and for having borne my critics!

Yes, unfortunately I know.... the AH Film viewer is a pain in the oscar to use. And, if I'm not wrong, you used the unregistered Fraps version, which makes things even more stressing, being able of recording only 30 seconds.... these are the two reasons that keep me away from doing the movie I had in mind since a couple of months.... :( (btw, "since" or "from"? I never got to learn when to use them! :D)

And, yes, the hungarian paint scheme is really colorful!

As for the beginning, I forgot one thing: nice aerobatics! That inverted flight through the hangar was really cool... and I bet it wasn't easy with a Hurry I

Finally, I'm really curious of watching your fight against that 205: can you post it?

Thank you, and again, nice work!

Nah, i need the feedback Gianlupo!!

Ah film viewer.. oh well. Youre correct, fraps is the unregistered version. But you dont really need more than 30 secs for a take. And it keeps the file size managable :).

I believe its "... had in mind for a couple of months now". Not that im an expert for english language. Any natives out there?

The invert through hangar is no more difficult than in any other plane. You just need enough speed (240 mph at leat) and have to roll over right before passing hangar. Sustained inversion in Mk1 is *not* recommended ;P.

Heres the complete fight with the 205/Typh/landing.

Finally I watched the clip, Schatzi. Very good flying, especially with half a wing!

I really admire you and people flying slow birds... it can be very frustrating and it's definitely difficult to avoid the enemies, force them to lose their E and get a good firing position... one has to be a great pilot, with exceptional SA to be succesful in such a plane...

And now more than ever I can understand what it feels like.... friday night I was in an A6M5 and I had a long engagement with a FW (A5)... it went on for maybe five minutes, till I had to flee and land, as my fuel was nearly exhausted!

I felt the need... the need for speed! :D

P.S. thanks for the grammatical advice!

Lol, yeah, the need for speed. You know, in the scenes showed i always *had* enough speed for two reasons. I either had enough alt advantage beforehand, or i had to make them loose their E first and build up mine in the meanwhile.

Just try it for a while. Its a very different fighting style, but its fun as well. And a slow hurr is a very hard target to hit. Just let them come almost into firing range then make a quick step to the side (turn and add rudder), if need be stall out for a second. theyll zoom past. after a few passes most enemies get so agitated that they try and turn with you. or theyve blown their energy. thats when they sign their death warranty :). I always have to chuckle when a p38 or an a6m deploy flaps and try to make me overshoot. Nope. Wont work ;). all you have to do is keep your energy at all times. never turn without pulling up first. and if they run, let them go and climb.

As for flying on half a wing... Hurri still handles pretty well with a missing wingtip. And i was very close to the runway. I still cant believe i made it though, with all those cons flying around. You can see the shadow of a F4U passing on the runway. I guess he let me go insted of going for the vulch. >S< to whoever it was.

But you know, the thing is... im so used to hurri1, i cant fly anything else. talk about frustrating... i just dont know what to do in those 'fast' planes. The fastest i can handle are spit and n1k. LMAO. im so desperate ive send an email to the trainer corps. I hope theyll be able to get me going.

Thanks for the advices, Schatzi! I'll try to apply them and get used to this style of flying. ;)

You seem to have the opposite of my problem: since the beginning, I was used to fly different planes, so I didn't really get well versed with a particular one, and now, more and more often, I feel the lack of a favourite ride, a plane from which I can pull the best. I always liked to practice both T'n'B and B'n'Z (though the latter was the one I preferred... you know, I like LW bird, and you can't turn that much with them!), so, I think, I can handle different situation, but the other side of the coin is that there's no field in which I really excel... at least, you have this! :D

One question, Schatzi, have you heard nothing from Xjazz, lately? It's a bit of time I don't see him around.

See you!

Lol! Thank you, Schatzi.

In fact, I found him on the board, yesterday, he told me that he will start hosting again this week end (many times, he said). I'll be there, I hope to find you too! ;)
