Wanting an explination for why her son died is going to topple the government and give a rise to the insurgency in Iraq? I seriously want to know what this guy was smoking before he gave that interview. There have been anti-war protests in EVERY major U.S. war from the Revolution to the current situation in Iraq. Not once have they ever toppled the government or caused the enemy's numbers to grow out of the belief that our country no longer supported the war. I actually had to reread that paragraph to make sure I read it correctly. Is that seriously the best argument these Bush supporters could come up with?

while I don't think it will topple the "administration" I do think that when one of the goals of your enemy is to disrupt you nations intestinal fortitude to continue fighting the war.....well she fits into there goals nicely.

What can you say....free speech. :aok

Side Note"  I read a good book about vietnam a while back, but can't remember the name.  Alot of the big "peace rallies" back in the day were actually organized and sponsered by communist/socialist groups rooting for the NV.  Effective tactic don't ya think?  Can't beat the enemy on the battle field, beat them at there pubilc support.  Even at today's "peace rallies" you see alot of commie propaganda.

Her anti war sentiment is protected speech and its inspiring to those killing american soldiers in iraq.  Those who killed her son are getting strength and encouragement from her free speech down in Bush country.

Damn its ironic to me.

The womans right to free speech is paramount, but if I could I would slap her solidly across the face, and probably get the crap beaten out of me by peace protesters as a result but "oh well"....

sandman, follow me through on this and tell me if I am wrong.

====
Sheehan is calling for an immediate and unconditional withdrawl of the US military from Iraq.

sandman, True or false?

====
Sheehans position of immediate and unconditional withdrawl of US military from Iraq is "extremely" good news to those who are planting roadside bombs and taking sniper shots at american soldiers, just like her son.

Wouldn't any insurgent worth the salt on his balls be inspired to take extra steps to kill more US soldiers as quickly as possible to take advantage of the political fallout from Sheehans media campain outside the Bush vacation ranch?

sandman, if you disagree with me explain why.  Im open to opposing views here.  Tell me how my thinking as reflected above is flawed.

I'm okay with the first. I'm just wondering about the second. IMHO, once we pull out they'll just continue shooting each other. I'm all for letting them do it too.

Well, I belive this.... abomination should be ran over with a pickup truck. Im sick of old cindy sheehand or whatever. she's making my life A ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS! I guess that's what I get for living within 15 minuts of crawford *sigh* as if bush's ******* pilots wern't enough low alt buzzing my house every 3 hours due to a..... disagreement over at the coffee shop. I told em to atleast go sub-sonic cause some of us had to sleep in thier flight path. now they gotta be pushing mach2 atleast once a night when he's home and flying low enough i could spit on thier shiney jets!

GAH! I will be glad when bush either

A.) Moves the hell away from here

B.) Finally gets another job involving less security and less protesters. Seriously, I can't go to work sometimes because protesters will block the intersection of hwy 84 and 317 in mcgregor and the cops are there to make sure noone gets through traffic wise. While im all for free speech and such, i'm not for damned idiots standing in the middle of the road I help pay for blocking my way to make a living trying to do something that isn't going to happen. Think bush pay's em any attention? hell no. just like everyone else till they get in the way. atleast bush got people with big guns and jets to clear his traffic!

Ok, that works for me.

Heres something to ponder, and follow me here.

I was wondering about this earlier.  Lets suppose that civil war in Iraq is unavoidable.  If it happens then we should probably take sides, to offer support.  Who does Bush choose?  The Sunnis?

The *****es?  The Kurds?

Lets say old George and Dick choose the *****es.

Who should the democrats choose to support in response?

Im thinking the dems, Kennedy and Clinton mainly, choose the Sunnis, just because they are opposed to the neocon choice, the *****es.

What say you?

Sorry for the stupid profanity filter taking out what I think is the correct spelling for the majority Islamic sect in Iraq.

How is it spelled?

I'm thinking... stay the **** out of civil wars.

That said... what's the real difference between the Kurds, Sunni, or Shia, or whatever the hell else is in Iraq?

I have to wonder why I even ask, because I truly don't give a **** if they off each other from the face of the planet. Same goes for Israel and Palestine. I mean hell... can you remember a time during your decades long existence where there wasn't fighting in the middle east over **** knows what all? I certainly can't.
