Warp Arena or Main Arena?
« on: August 29, 2005, 10:09:59 PM »
Not sure which it should be named.

This is the third night in a row I have logged due to horrible warping and completely erratic arena behavior. Sometimes its just 1 plane warping, other times its all planes warping. Invisible aircraft, 2.5k aircraft shooting you down. None of this is normal for my connection.

I have tried to isolate the problem on my end but there is really nothing changed on my PC. Nor is there any new processes running in the background. Spyware is clean from my PC.

To add to my rant, on ch200 I asked if anyone else was having problems and received a flurry of replies. A lot of people seem to be having a serious connection issues.

I cannot remember ever having dealt with anything like this in the past. I have my fingers crossed that this is something that can and will be fixed. Weather it’s on my end or HTC side something must be done.

Lately it should be named Warp Arena. Curiously, with so many warps and lag, I got no discos at all, but some others got discoed several times in a row yesterday night.

I think this may also be related to warps/lag.  Tracers from bombers clearly missing.  I am talking no where near you as far as you can see.  You can see them flying so far away from you that you think the guy is shooting at someone else.  Yet, you get pinged.  Does not bother me that mach since I have decided to exclude buffs from my game for other reasons, but occasionaly, when no fighters around,. . . weeeeell its is tempting :D

Yup having it too, warps, people get hits 3 seconds after they pass me etc, belive HTC are working on it by moving their servers (or is that done for the arenas too?).

Last time Skuzzy said something about it it was a Savvis problem and I am quite sure it still is.

Logged tonight because I was dying as usual yet Iwouldn't get into tower until about 10-20 seconds after, just stuck in the ground.  Rather then be annoyed and/or inconvenience anyone Idecided to log. I've never witnessed anything like this before.  If someone will tell me how to run the ping plotter stuff i'll get that going.

Rn the 216.91.187.39 IP and got 30% packet loss, I think.  If the red perecent on the line graph at bottom is packet loss then that's it.

I've lost udp alot the lat few nights. Last night I was actually concerned that someone thought I was cheating.

I was flying KI-67's at 25K and had just shot down a 190 when a Pony came in. He flew over the top of me and I choped throttle and went from 320 to 120. He had to do a head on and missed then he came up un my high left 6 and started dropping in right behind me. I thought I had it made and then poof lost udp then the 51 was 1K back and turning away.

I really hope whoever the 51 was didn't think I was cheating.. I'm on dial up so messing with the wire would not work :)
