Hi fellow pilots,

i would like to propose a new contest for the next tour (tour 68).
We had 2 worthless plane contest, now there is time for something new:

Killer Contest

Land at least 7 kills in each of the following 7 aircraft:

P-38J
F4U-1D
Fw-190 A8
Bf-109 G2
Spitfire MkIX
Typhoon MkIB
Plane of Choice*

Detailed description: The plane of choice may not be a perkplane and none of the other 6 planes. In the contest you show your versatile skills as a fighter pilot. All kills have to be air to air, maneuver kills are also acceptable. So, when you get the "you killed xx #x" message and its an airplane that had its wheels up, or a plane that cant retract the wheels and was in a compareable flying situation, then its acceptable. You may have vehicle kills in between, but they dont count against the 7 kills so you have to make more kills then, vehicle kills/vulches are just skipped.

The sortie must be filmed from shortly before the first kill untill the 7th, whereas the 7th (or last one filmed if more than 7) must look like you could make it home and land afterwards. When you turn on the film viewer later a "streak" of 7 kills is ok too, say you filmed kill 3 till 9. I also expect that you land the kills, but since i dont really want to see the long way home on film its not necessary on film.

In case of doubt the films are to be kept for display to a referee who has to be cleared by me, but you can suggest a referee of choice if you dont want me to watch the films.

The winnder gets a honorable mentioning in a "Great AH pilots who land their kills" thread.

If more than 2 pilots get the requested kills in the requested form the one with most kills in his 7 sorties gets to win.

For the case that no one makes it to the requested 49 kills the winner is the pilot landing 7 kills in at least one of the planes and most kills in 6 sorties with the 6 other planes. Note that you can land the 7 kills in your plane of choice than and need at least 2 in the 6 other planes.

Also i want to mention that i chose pretty good aircraft for the contest but, for each of them not the best. This way the arena dont gets populated with P51D La7 190D9 only.

EDIT: The flights should be taken in tour 68, its of course a plus if you manage to put the films available for download to the comunity and provide a nice screenshot, but not necessary!

May rearm as often as you want. Of course makes it easier but i think the contest is hard enough still.

My motivation for the contest was i had much more fun flying in the worthless plane contest than flying with my usual intentions. Although i dont expect that i can make this contest ill of course try myself.

You land 7 a2a kills in the 6 planes mentioned plus one plane you pick, so that at least 49 kills.

The alternate option was only for the case that this generates no intrest at all so i dont get totally left without any way of declaring a winner. Ignore it

For real pilots its min of 49 kills..............

7 kills is a bit much for most people for 1 sorte(also would make very large film files...When I was with VMF-101 Nitemares they used to call 5 kills an "ACE"..That was a fun time trying to do that.

7 kills in all those planes is easy sirloin. Unlimited reamrs. for those that have trouble doign it, they can fly like a girl.

Ell im just thinkin if it was a tad easier..there might be more people willing to give it a shot..Last contest was a hoot but only 2 or 3 others actually finished it.

Well, ones like the P40B contest take up ALOT of time. The plane is slow, the guns are less than par, its turns great but if there's more than two nme around you're bound to be clobbered low and slow.

I think 7 is fair enough. It doesnt take all that long to get up to 7 kills just bye fighting on the outskirts of a furball, luring 1-2 of them out at a time.

Edit: I would have (to make it more of a challenge) put an alt cap on the kills/fights... So that in the film if you go above 10k that film doesnt count. Just to discourage cherry picking/encourage fighting.

I already saw 4 guys landing 7 kills on the first day, think its easy enough if you just try it.

Still your right, we should think up an easy contest for next tour... to get more people to take part.

I fly 'like a girl' for obvious reasons, i still have trouble doing it...

But im sure you guys can impress me with your prowess...

I offer a reward for the contest winner. (Get your minds out of the gutter back on topic...). If provided enough 'raw film material' ill make a movie out of the winners flights.
