Which do you consider the best of the Dirty Harry series?

For my money, it's The Enforcer.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

The original is still the best.  Shootin' bad guys while eating a hot dog. (that was the original wasn't it?)

The original.  Or, for pure cheese value, The Deadpool, featuring Jim Carey playing a heroin addicted rock star whose hit song is Welcome to the Jungle by Guns'n'Roses, who make a cameo appearance in the film.  Man, that was a long sentence.

The original, had the best speech.
Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth -- more than ruin -- more even than death.... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. ... Bertrand Russell

The original, I love how he steps on the bad guys shot leg to get the confession.

Although the original is hard to beat, I liked the Enforcer the best - although Sudden Impact is pretty good.

Why could they make movies like "Dirty Harry" and "The French Connection" thirty years ago and now all they can do is churn out rubbish?

Well, they have been trying --

think of all the remakes! (Forget willy wonka, who's brilliant idea was it to remake Psycho?)
