Ok just had my daughter check too and she confirms there are NO dead or dying people in my living room.
Trust me. if there were she would let me know as such things she would get highly upset about.
but if there were.
Yes I sure as hell would be mad at them.

My daughter overhearing our talk about it and not reading this thread at all chimed in "I didnt like the army brownie at all. it was disgusting"

Keep in mind she is 8 and we tried it 3 years ago when she was 5.

Musta left some kind of impression LMAO

Over 40% of the population of New Orleans lives at or below the poverty level.  Most of them had no way of leaving and had to try and ride out the storm.  Not everyone was as lucky as you since you had a car you could hop in and drive to a safer location.

And refugees?  FFS, they're your countrymen.

airplane food?

what, a bag of peanut trail mix?

hell, i'd probably get the crowd all worked up about the government trying to buy me off with a stale bag of **** and go kick in the door of a 7/11 and loot the slim jims just to get even.

40%.. wow, that number seems to be going up at the same rate as the gas prices. Was only 25% when the storm was offshore. From looking at the pictures there's some mighty nice roofs on those hovels.

Far and away the MAJORITY of the folks wandering around looting and doing the drama queen bit could easily have gotten their butts to the superdome before the storm hit . It's all about choices, remember? You see the national guard sending folks BACK into the city when they come wading up and beg for help?

And yes, they're our countrymen. American nanny state born and raised citizens. Stellar representations of what urban american education and civic standards really are.

Flooding causes water works to stop function, so no drinking water.  Sewage treatment down, so polluted water all around.

It takes awile to get things up and running.  No one said surviving a disaster would be convenient.
