one of the things i've always loved about texans are their generosity :aok

on a related note most colleges here in Mass have started a program to immediately accept students from Gulf Coast schools for emergency transfer. I thought that was pretty cool

I live 35 miles SW of Houston. Note: that's waaaay on the other side of town from where the people from Louisiana are having to drive in from. And yet, this morning on my way into Houston to go to work I saw an almost steady stream of Louisiana license plates on hwy 59 (again, on the sw side of town).

All this to say: refugees aren't just making to the east side of Houston and getting into whatever shelter or motel they can find. The entire city of Houston, and the surrounding cities, are filling up almost beyond capacity. And we're glad to be able to help. But for the Grace of God, it coulda been us. It's almost like Armageddon has ocurred.

I predict that the up coming weeks will truly show the heart of America in the face of a crisis. WTG Texas, and to those donating, those lending a hand.

Jacksonville has sent S&R, fire trucks, and an entire crew of people to NO.

We now have 4-6 semi trucks filled with food on their way to NO

skyprancer.... it never has... you don't get it.

We here in America have never trusted government.  You know nothing about America or Americans.   That is why we threw your kind out in the first place.

Bush is bad but not even close to the evil that is your government.
