Interview with member of NOAA
« on: September 04, 2005, 01:14:24 AM »
I saw a TV interview with a talking head from the NOAA, srry no references...was in passing earlier this evening.

This NOAA lady was talking about the capabilities of the satellite imagry available to the NOAA and she said the devastation that she had seen on the sat images from hurricane katrina appeared far more catostrophic than the damage from last decembers tsunami.

She said the nation and the world has yet to grasp the severity of this event.  It is a national catastrophy....

Oddly enough... I watched the television shortly this morning and I found just one station with any news at all on it.

CNN.

Not a thing on any of the networks, east or west coast.

I hear ya sandy.  I've been watching fox and all I have to say is at least they havn't had the political talking heads doing their 60 second debates  on who's better.

Geraldo has been kind of annoying as well.

So, he hasn't let this tragedy affect his work, then?
