Check 6
« Reply #15 on: September 02, 2005, 03:07:24 PM »
"Hey numbers guy,  you are about to be killed".

What's worse than the numbers guys are these names:

RuuWgHTr  (I made it up, but you get the idea)

By the time I sound it he is usually dead anyway.

You know we are challenged in here - I get many check 6's that come over as  "Check 6 Talone"  (Long O sound) rather than Talon, like the eagles claw.

I AM NOT FRENCH!

Forgotten, but back in the game.  :)

Actually a french would never say "talone" but a sound like the ending of "poisson"
http://french.about.com/library/media/wavs/poisson.wav

To have a "talone" like sound it should be spelled 'talonne" but it won't mean talon (Ankle) any more :D

Only one of every ten people call me OOZ. One more of the ten ask, "Hey, is it..O...OOZ or...OZZ?" Eight of ten people call me OZZ.

I try and call one plane, usually a name that I can see ( happens when 12 rooks are after 1 bird :) and then say "and company" and whatever plane is after them.

Numbers guy are hard to call, first part last part and/or keyed check six.

Oh well, such is life.

Good times when I don't know ozrocker's on and someone goes " oz!"

I don't remember names well, so I almost never remember people. Therefor, I back thinking they might be someone I knew before and they're like "Who the hell are you?"
