Heehee... craziest buff idea yet..!

Dynamically perk buffs according to altitude.

- The perks for selecting buffs are the same as is now.
- However, perks will be applied after takeoff!
- Start from 100 perks, subtract 10 perks per every 1000ft upto 10k.
- Above 10k, no perks.
- When the buff perks go to minus, you can't fly buffs.
- Every 24 hour will +100 perks until the perks reaches 0 again.


 For instance:

* Somebody has 140 buff perks.
* He selects a B-24 formation. It is free.
* He flies the buff formation, and gets shot down at 900ft.
* When he returns to tower, he is now 40 buff perks.
  (Shot down at under 1000ft = -100)
* He selects a B-24 formation again.. free, ofcourse.
* This time, he gets shots down at 8,200ft altitude.
* When he returns to tower, he is now at 20 perks
  (shot down at 8,200ft = -20)
* He selects a B-24 formation again.. free, yes.
* This time, he is shot down at 12k.
* Since he was shot down at 12k, no perks applied. Still 20 buff perks.
* He selects a B-24 formation again.. yeah, free.
* Shot down again at 2,300ft this time. He is now -60 perks.
  (shot down at 2,300ft = -80)
* He will have to wait a 24hr period, to up buffs again.


 Neat-o fix for deck running buffs, eh? :D

I dont get what the problem is with 4k level bombing....

Ever hear of Ploesti???? B-24 raid at low altitude on the oil refineries???

Nothing wrong with low level buffs. It did happen.

Dam Busters flew Lancs at 200ft I belive for their drops.

Dive Bombing buffs I don't agree with, but low level. Oh Yeah!!

Sorry , dont' like the idea.

I love it when buffs come in low, they are much easier to kill. Why would you want them to go so high that you won't have time to intercept them??

The thing that does need to change is that the bombs should only be able to be dropped from F6 view.

While this is true..how often did this happen as opposed to med-high alt bombing? While I don't know if I agree with the idea, deck runnin dive bombing heavies is way outta hand and if you want to use the realism card, way off the mark as what was used in RL.

My opinion is 1 guy in a Bomber can ruin a fight for countless guys wanting to "play their way" and destroy a base. And when all it takes is a 3K suicide dive to do so, it's really frustrating. By the same token, it would take more than of a few fighter/jabos to ruin fun for others.

Oh I agree completely. The whole dive bombing in buffs thing is out of control. The heavies like the 24's, 17's and lancs couldn't do it and the 26's could only do it in a shallow dive. Being able to drop bombs should be restricted to the F6 view only IMO for the heavies.

As far as one guy coming in and leveling a field and ruining it for the furballers. That is just bad manners on their part. I always ask before dropping on a field with a furball going on. I have been asked to not drop on a field and I have always gone on to anouther target. Other times they were trying to take a base and the hangers had popped and I was asked to level it.

I think allot of people see that many fighters over a base, and they assume a base capture is in progress and they want to help. They run in, level the field without asking first, and end up pissing everyone off. Been on both sides of that situation. After getting yelled at for dropping a base where a furball was happening, I started to ask before bombs away. I was a newb and didn't know better and I belive that most of the time this happens that is also the case.

Golly-geeit the answer is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO[/U] simple.

Only allow the eggs to be released from the F6 position.

Noe is fun, so is kicking cheese out of rook bases from 26K, dive bombing buffs is... well  its just gamey.

HAH!!! ONLY F6 ..I DUNNO BOUT U but i do alot of level sight bombing and f-6 is only needed for 6+ k drops...and  perk the alt... C'Mon dude.. u would see la5's perked before u see alt perked:lol some tweebs AH has:rofl
