Let it rain

I like the new clouds, to see them get lower , darker, and rain maybe snow.

That would be cool. Instead of having dust off the runway, we can have water splash shiny pavement, etc.

You can do this by next update, right?

Thanks

I know this has been brought up before, but you gents DO
realize that our aircraft are not allweather types right?  Missions
were often cancelled due to cloud cover and I cannot recall a
single WW2 combat aircraft with de/anti-icing equipment installed.

In fact, the Phantoms I worked on in the early 80s didn't have
it either.

I hear ya!

What I'm askin for prob that eh weather change more than high overcase, partly cloudy.

Having evveftc like rain, mild rain or cloudes that are darker than baby blue would becool. Mind you, i am preally impressed with the effects at present, but I recall many stories where fights were lost in the clouds. The tropics, forexample have really low cloud levels and spontaneous rain fall. I'm sure the war was not on hold during those times.

De-icing - well I wasnt even thinking that, but good point.

It would be nice to have localized showers in an arena.  Large enough to cover 2 sectors or so.  Would provide a navigational hazard but some pilots could venture in and try thier luck.  Would provide a short respite from enemy bombers.

Also, with a few more ground vehicle models, it really wouldn't hurt combat, as someone could always hop in a tank.

Just a thought.

Early F4U pilots uesd to look for cloudbursts to wash oil off the windscreen. But then ... we don't get oil on our windscreens in AH unless we got worse problems.

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Didn't there used to be really good, dark clouds in AH1?

I seem to recall them being there. I liked them.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. If I remember right there was a layer of solid clouds. And the areas that had rain were just darker.

Get a job and upgrade your computer

IN the old CT in AH 1, the Norway map had nice dark low layer of clouds that would move over the snow covered terrain. I think they were like 500ft from the ground. Was great to get a handful of 109s on you and dive through the clouds.  You would pull up trimming the weeds and listen to the 109s auger in.:D
