I pretty much agree with Gun's assessment of the show. It's a "Combat" (old WWII show) style dramatazation of Iraq. They took about every stereotype you might run across and made them a squad. Gives a decent overall picture of the situation without being 100% technically accurate.

Remember, it's a TV show. If they just followed a ramdom squad around, it would be full of pretty uninteresting charaters.

I also think Erik Palladino is great as Sgt. Scream. I'd like to see more of him and his backstory.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I agree less soap more action but it does portray female military members in a farely accurate light.

2 woman, one's a potato, one isn't.  50% sounds about right to me.  ;)

Overall, its a mixed bag. But a new show has a learning curve of cheesy to chilling. Frankly I thought the good Colonel in Intel was the best of them i've seen - right up there with a Band o Bros's episode.

I aint gonna call it art or even GREAT cinema, but considering the dearth of anything decent on the 500 channels of television I'd put it in the worth watching category.

Marine there's an old saying, ideology increases propotionally to the distance from the problem.

Besides the truth is boring and so untantilizing. How do you expect the movie makers to turn a profit off of this whole war deal?

We got to have our "Platoon"s and "Three Kings" and "Blackhawk Down" and Micheal Moore to teach civilian america what the military is really all about.
