Short Ki84 (outnumbered again) film...
« on: September 14, 2005, 05:53:13 AM »
Another Ki84 film, they seem to be popular now a days.

I know FTJR wants me to post them though (or wanted me to, let me know if you don't want it anymore mate :) ).

It's not a very long film this time. It's about 5 minutes where I am outnumbered by 4-5 to my self. Yaws come in at the end and pull some away from me.

AKAK nail all my fuel tanks so the ending is the same as the last (run out of fuel and ditch in the middle of the fight ).

What might be fun to watch though is the agressive flying. I run out of fuel but even after that I ping up a tiffie and a LA5 good, no need to stop fighting just because you're a glider ;)

Also shows the way I like to use the Ki84, using its climbrate to win/survive fights where most other planes would be either running or dying.

Hope you enjoy it and hope it helps giving some tips and tricks. By now ya'll should know the way I fly it though.

I don't know what you mean Krusty

Tiffie and LA5 were pwned though, just wish I had had an engine.

Wilbuz, good film, I was just enjoying the banter on vox at the start of the fight :P

You said something very much like a kid finding a toy in the street, or Homer Simpson finding donuts, "Ooooh, typhie!" and then that other guy in the fight said something about it being a full house because of the enemy plane selection.

It was rather humorous.

OH hehehe ok :)

I had a couple of 20mm's with that tiffies name on them! (I killed him later).

VOX chat can be very fun :)

Wilbuz, aside from the Ki84 (which I already know you like), what other planes do you fly a lot?

P.S. Did you ever dig up that info on the Ta152C engine?

Krusty, Ta152 info in the 190 A5 thread :)

As for other planes. I am actually a Luftwaffe fan, been flying 109's and 190's from quite early on in AH. During the open beta I flew spits and P51's and such and stayed with it for quite some time. Then I changed over to the G10 and from then on I've been a LW fan. Going from 109's to the 190's and learning the 190's very well.

I am a dedicated 190 pilot, the Ki84 is something I haven't flown for more then 3 months now since I came back from my studies.

The reason I fly the Ki84 is because it is a different kind of plane, often alot better suited for MA battles then a 190 is (when lonewolfing atleast).

There were quite a few tours where I flew nothing but LW planes, 190 A8, D9 and 109 G10 mostly but it gets frustrating, specially since I have opinions on how the 190's are modelled which is a reason I don't fly them as often as I used to ;)

I enjoy most planes, I never fly the LA7 or the Niki. Rarely the spits. Those planes I consider all out boring, no challange and no sport (up the spit when field is capped sometimes).

US Planes have some nice feutures I like alot, the P51 for example, with the use of combat flaps, can turn with spit 9's untill the fight gets too slow, usually I can outturn most spits, nikis at the likes in a P51D and kill em before the fight gets too slow. P47 has similair attributes but a bit heavier but I like it too. As does the P38.

205 is another plane I love, very underestimated in the MA, far better then ENY 40 IMO.

Other than that, all 109's, all 190's. 110 G2 from time to time, F4u on rare ocassions.

Bascily whatever suits my mind at the moment, but I am LW in my heart, once ToD is here I will fly LW and nothing but LW in ToD untill it goes pacific, then you'll probarly see me as Japanese.

First of good flying. I was the 51 in the film.
Question i would like to ask or film i would
like to see is a 51 out turn a spit. Even at
hi speed i find myself blacking out trying to
turn with spitfire.

We can go in the DA some day and try it Robert. It won't hold forever but often long enough to make a killing shot, or atleast give it a killing chance. Once the speed drops too much though the Spit will outturn it.

Rgr :)

Btw, the secret to turing on to the 6 of a spit turning evasivly when you come at high speed is a high yo-yo.

While the Pony won't keep up with the spit forever the use of high yo-yo's will most likely give a killing shot quite fast.
