Alcolock in cars
« on: September 17, 2005, 04:28:09 AM »
Its been suggested over here that all new cars bought after 2012 should have alcolocks in them so you cant start your car if you have had a drink. Too bad they dont work if you are on drugs tho.

Excellent idea!

Is this beeing discussed elsewere in the world?

Cut him some slack.
He's looking to get his very own first car and is considerate enough to want to make the roads safe for the rest of us:D

LOL
That would be a great idea to get car prices even higher than they are now.
At one time around here they started getting on the kick of putting the locks on cars of the young people who were getting DWIs. They simply got someone else to do the test and start the car. Brilliant.

believe me... if they do it to cars then boats are next and then motorcycles and then bicycles and then your front door... and then if you blow too high a level it will shoot you with indellable die and an alarm will go off and you will be under arrest.

yep... government never seeks more power and more laws..

in japan the trucks were gonna have rotating beacons on the roof and if you broke the speed limit it would go on and only a cop could turn it off (after he wrote you a ticket)... don't know if they did that one or not...

here they have spy cameras at intersections and on freeways to catch you speeding.

Why , exactly do you think it would be a good idea?
You like throwing money away for useless ideas or what?
You do know how easy these things are to beat , don`t you?

Anything can be beat.

It wont stop the alcoholics or those that really really wants to get their car started.

It will stop some of those that wake up on sunday morning thinking its out of their system or some of those regular folks that "forgets" and has a pint at dinner before getting in their car.. they hand the keys to their missus or someone else or waits an extra hour befor they drive.

They have tested it here and the results are good.

All it would do is cost people money for another stupid "We are the power" idea.
I`m sure you have been told the results are good. Who picked the testers? :)
Don`t know why some people just don`t go ahead and get 6 numbers tattoed on their forehead for future reference.
