Thanks moose, I looked into that. The reason I didn't go too far with it was I was sure not many people had the codec for that. I did some investigating on the web and with my local puter guy, and was surprised at how MANY codecs there are out there. I'm open for any options though. It just seemed realplayer was the simplest thing to do, Most everybody has it.

He said it was camtasia.  I've been looking for a screen capture program that worked this well for quite some time.

Thanks for the pointer hblair.

I only used camtasia to combine the AVI clips. Ya gotta have a video card with a vieo-out port to do decent film. You run your video out to a VCR, record it, then play it back into the PC. I then edited the AVI's in camtasia, then added my music with dubit. The music has to be in WAV format. Then you run it thru realeditor to compress it from 230 meg to 6.4.

Then ya post it on the web.

BTW, My squaddie milenko has a few films on our squadron website, just click on the gif below and go to "milenkos wallpaper" on the left. I like the yak film.

Did you try to use it to capture the gameplay directly?  Camptasia is advertised as being able to "Record the action from any part of the Windows desktop and save it to a standard AVI movie or streaming video." I tried this with another program that just couldn't keep up fps wise.

Ya hit the nail on the head deja. I tried it. Too many dropped frames. The quality is real bad. It'll record 2d WB's just fine. But thats it as far as I know. I think the only way is to have a video out card.

A big thanks on clearing that up before I actually wasted several hours trying to figure it out for myself
