After several days of banging my head against the keyboard, downloading endless codecs, media editing software, etc. I've finally got my first aces high film ready for download.

It carries an afrika corps theme. My JG2 squad did exceptionally well in that scenario, usually taking 8-11 enemy air-to-air kills per frame, without many losses. I've taken some of that footage, some authentic WWII FW footage, and some spitfire abuse clips,   combined 'em with a rockin tune. JG2 was pretty much kryptonite to whomever we engaged.   We had some great pilots, even our inexperienced fellas flew very smartly.

The film is in real-media format. If it won't play on your PC, get realplayer- www.realplayer.com.  Its a free download. I test downloaded the file to be sure my link is good, it took about 25 minutes with a 45,000bps connection. The file is 6.2 meg.

The link is http://www.cybrtyme.com/personal/hblair/mainpage.htm
Click on "hblair's movies" on the left

Oh yeah, btw, sancho was my kryptonite in frame 3.

WTG.  Wow, that must have been a bit of work.

Do you have a higher resolution version?  I'd love a bigger one to show off at work, and I've got the high bandwidth to drag it down.

Man that's very cool.

BTW, who says icons make it too hard to bounce people in AH?  Crap, those kills were almost all surprise bounces.  Man did you ever pound the crap out of them too...

Sweet! I still won't fly the 190 much, but it makes me want to do the same thing with a P-51  .

Sorry lephturn, thats as big as I can get the file. I had it at a little higher quality, but the file size was over 10 meg, and my tripod site kept timing out on the upload. In the future, I'll try to pick shorter songs.   This was my very first attempt at this sort of thing, I hope to make future videos look better, with more ACM moves, exterior shots.

As far as all the spit bounces, I must confess, most of them were *reproduced for cinematic purposes*.   Many thanks go out to regurge for being my target drone in the training arena monday night.

Glad you guys enjoyed it.

Hblair if you still have it with higher res I will gladly download it no matter the size of the file...

That thing ROCKS! the song fits just great with the plane, and really, watching the film I MISS taking my 190 up and killing some bad guys...

One thing, I know this may be sorta stupid ,but that w/b part of the Fw190s flying is historical, right? I mean is NOT AH somehow changed to B/W?...I remember mitsu posting some screenshots taken in AH and modified to be in black and white and they seemed the real thing.

And, while I think it is real footage...somehow I'm not sure.

BTW, if you want an advice from a 190A5 dedicated driver...next time dont fire the -MGs     They have almost no hitting power, their blast kill visibility and their ballistics kills the gunnery.

WTG on the film!

(damn I love that friggin plane   )

[edit]BTW can someone tell me how to do that thing?...you need some special software or with realproducer is enough?[/edit]

Thanks RAM, yep, that is real FW190 footage.   I really dig the wing wobble they're doing. Can't help you with the bigger detailed file. I'm on a modem.

If you still have the original file, I can get you FTP access to my server. One of my friends is pretty handy with DivX - which will allow much higher quality movies and much smaller too. (same stuff that people rip DVDs with to CD - that's 6GB or so to 650MB)

How many of you out there have the DivX codec? Just curious to see if it would be worth it..
