You didn't do too bad either. From your point of view when you were flying was there any hint/tip that you can think of that might have helped me? Any place you think back and say "Hm... if *I* were in that 109, I'd have done *this* right about *then* to get that kill faster" or so on?

the 109 is no good in close to p51's... you need some space...


The 109 can climb vertical, you should have use it to gain alt...while the P51b is trying to build up speed,...I hope I am on to something here....

Nicely flown by all. As many have said, I would have pressed the fight early on. When outnumbered you need to even the odds ASAP. And yes....you gotta hit the shots when you set em up. I think gunnery is about 50% you got it or you don't, and 50% learned. You had 2 shots early in the fight that you couldn't afford to miss...IMHO.

I too would've taken the fight low along with pressing the fight a little more. Get those ponies low and slow and it's a different fight. I'm not a great 109 stick but that would be my approach.

I didnt watch the film but I will say that anytime I have won 3,4 or 5 on me I am always very agressive and I will take chances to try to get early kills to even the odds ASAP.
