Having a USB port problem; need help
« Reply #15 on: September 21, 2005, 02:51:26 PM »
An interesting thought, SoA.  However, the digital camera works with the OS, and when I unplug it and try the TD, it won't work.

Eagler: I wondered about that, but my Dell at work worked fine from either the PC front-panel or PC back panel USB ports.  I've heard of problems with the keyboard or monitor USB ports not having enough power for some TDs (in fact, my Dell at work has a keyboard USB port that will work with a 128Mb stick, but not with anything larger); however, I've not yet run into a problem with the USB ports in the PC tower itself.  In any event, I've tried both the front panel and back panel ports of my XP Pro machine, and none of them will recognize the darn TDs.

Guess calling Dell is my only option at this point, though.  Hope they can give me a hand with this.
