Saw that the hurricane has now buffed up to the max-level 5th class, and Texans are evacuating.

Hope the HTC offices are ok.
If not, hope you guys have a safe evacuation.

It'll be a downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it gets up here.  We may have some power outages but hopefully nothing serious and not for long.

There is a high probability that even if we aren't directly affected through power outages, intenet traffic into us may be down.  We're preparing as best as we can to minimize the potential of any service outages, but there are many contingencies that we cannot do anything about.

Maybe you guys should have a hotsite in Calgary Alberta?  I mean, it's in the middle of no-where. It's a large city (for Canada - 1.2mil). It has amazing internet infrastructure. And it gives you an excuse every year to visit the city during the Calgary Stampede. :aok

For those that don't get it, and just to rebut the silly ones, UPS = Uninterruptable Power Supply. Battery backup, generators, etc.
