I'd say the Ki67 did real great. We didn't exactly expect 20 163's against us. Against 20 163's any bomber would have died, big or small.

Still the Ki67's killed a whole lot of 163's, "aka" got 3 alone.

If the 163 base was to be taken down first the Ki67 would make it without much trouble, specially with better escorts (P51, P47N ,F4u4, Ta152)

long range missions are so fun, I remember lately on trinity we had a long range noe P47D40 mission to retrieve our cv wich was stolen, too bad it was a one way ride, 100% wasn't enough.

(can't remember why we didn't use the N model thougt lol)

I used to run deep long range missions in AW but then the trick was to split the bomber force into three paths and bring them to target from 3 different directions at the same time.

Plus in AW the Mossie bomber ingressed at 35K.

It tended to mess up the defensive fighter sorties........they could not organise quick enough agin 3 ingresses and all ended up hitting just one of em.
