New 109 cockpits

They look nice, but a slight mistake bothers my eye...

The sticks are straight in those screenshots, whereas the actual handle should be slightly twisted left and forward. They were made more ergonomic for right hand grip.

I know this is a minor thing, but that kind of straight stick really looks out of place in a 109 :(

got a pic? - actuallly just one showing the bend on the left/right axis...

There is the bend on the current control column, but after looking at the screen shots,it is not that noticable. Wasn't sure if there was another bend left/right.

Hello NATEDOG, everyone!

Not meaning to hijack this fine thread but...

Thanks for the G-6  pics Nate, looks simply beautiful!

Well...you know what's gonna follow...

Just ONE thing that stoud out from that model. That steel pilot's armour. It is true that there were G-6 manufactured with the plain heavy frame canopy but they were in the vast minority.

I actually really like the fact that it has the heavy frame canopy, but I wish you could change that pilots armor to the one which the G-10 for example has (the one with the glass armour).
These kind of canopies were also manufactured and I'm pretty sure that they were more common than the heavy frame canopies with the steel armor which your model now has.

The G-6's only advantage against the G-2 with that steel armour would be the small difference of 13mm MGs against the rifle calibre ones. It is slower, climbs slower and is less maneuverable than G-2. It would be nice to have at least two small advatages against the G-2 (guns and the improved six view).

Again, I don't know much about 3D modelling but if it is possible just to "copy/paste" G-10's armour to the G-6 that would be just perfect!
