Trim effects when compressed

When your plane has compressed cause you've gone to fast, I'd like to be able to disable the 'cheat' of using autoclimb to get out of a dive.

We all do it, using our trim to cheat death, giving us a second chance, but it's gamey.  In real life, you compressed in a steep dive, did you have your autoclimb to save you?

Trim doesn't work like the control stick in a plane. Where control rods or control cables require certain amounts of force on them, it was a historical fact that you could trim yourself out of a dive where all other controls were locked up.

The controls on the trim were such that a smaller surface needed to be moved (thus less force) and they usually had different gears/ratios etc so that you needed many turns of a knob to get a little deflection (thus increasing pilot's ability to move the control even if in a high speed dive).

Using trim to get out of a compressed dive is not a cheat. It takes a lot longer than using normal controls, but it is a historical fact that said actions could be done.

Hell, the trim on the 109 wasn't even a trim tab. The ENTIRE stabilizer lifted and lowered via a mechanism in the leading edge that would angle the entire stabilizer up or down. Same for the 262.

How about recover from spin with autotrim? I say it is just absurd. Trims move way too quickly when you press "X".

Hell, I've put myself *into* a spin when clicking X too soon.

Mister Fork I think there are quite few people in AH who use auto climb to get you out of dives.

Most of us trim the plane manually to get us out of the dive.

Trim existed on pretty much every plane and still exists on pretty much every plane. It was used to help you get out of dives and it was used to keep stick forces to a minimum for pilots. Nothing gamey about trim.

Not always and not for every plane may be. Sometimes it work, sometimes dont. But sure it must NEVER work.

As i said before, trims move way too quickly with autotrims. During recover from spin attempt (unsuccessful one) aileron trims move from extreme left to extreme right position in about 0.2 sec.    Hell, i cannot even move my joystick so quick
