I passed the torch to Eagle already, and left the XO slot open so he could put his new XO in. Took care of that last Sunday.
You might be interested to know that in fact, Eagle did the B-24J testing for that frame. KOOL and I swapped emails for several days, and then spent a couple hours on the phone.
We STILL had a couple of things go very bad wrong despite the planning, and throughout the frame we were concerned that we had really screwed the pooch. Had the guys in the B-24's not done a bang up job, it would have been a total disaster.
We never could get the air to air going in that tour, I know where some things went wrong, but there wasn't much way around it.
