New Ami planes "standard" is much better for the pilot than 190 or new 109 thick bars. I doubt they will touch any of them :rolleyes:

BTW - can really see how small the 109 cockpit was in the middle picture in relationship to the pilot.

Waffle, I wouldn't go as far as calling those standard ami cockpits. P38's sucked, birdcage canopys were common etc. But that isn't the point. Why show the standard "german" cockpit on pictures of a 109 in a 190 thread? Not too clever ;)

Second, that is not what the thread is about so stop trying to hijack.

What I wanted was all cockpits to look as nice as 190 cockpits, I don't think even the newly redone planes look as good. This includes the 3D bars.

So again, please don't try to hijack.

my comment was in response to the comment above that... a hijack on top of hijack :) Case being the canopies on the 47s and P51s were alot thinner than the 109s / 190s.

that forward horizontal bar looks like it is right in the pilots LOS, is it because he has his seat cranked up?

What's this version of the 109? It seems to have lost it's middle-bar on the side of the canopy?

"Erla" canopy Frank, often misstaken for "Galland Hood" in books.

This was starting to be equiped on G6's and became more and more common.

This is the same canopy as our G10 and G6 in AH2 has got, and the G14 and K4 will have after the "remake".
