Why isn't AH2 compatible with the latest drivers from ATI?

Why arent the latest drivers from ATI compatible with AH2?  Or a handful of other games?  Nature of the beast.  They issue a new driver, and by the time the NEXT one is out they might have it patched.  But new issues come up.

I got the latest drivers Cat 5.9 and they work fine.  Makesure U are using the new drivers for the x700 or higher GPU's.  x600 or less including the 9800 should be using the 4.12 cat.

ATI introduced a few old bugs, for older cards, in the newer drivers.  Nothing we can do about it really.  For the X700 and older cards, the 4.12 Catalysts work fine.

Thanks fellas, and I do have an older card, a 9200 built by ATI.
Since the last patch the game runs fine on my old 1.8ghz P4.

Use the Omega Drivers (he fixed the bugs).  http://www.omegadrivers.net

And they're pretty spank too...

ahhh, thanks for the info Mister Fork.  If the omega drivers have fixed the bug, I shall use these from now on!

Just to clarify, new versions of the Omega drivers tend to always have this, reintroduced, bug fixed, then?

cheers
