Interesting, but it seems to me to be a stupid weapon choice for terrorists, considering their SOP and mission plan.

hey , what about the scare story where they fly over us in a light plane shaking out bags of anthrax on every body, isn't that scary, or the one where they poisen the water,or the giant meteor that wipes out all living things on earth....ooooooh

During my years in Moscow High Technical College (Bauman's, or "Rocket college on Yauza"), where I studued on "Physics and technology of explosions" branch, we were told that this weapons (explosive electromagnetic geneators) exist. They were developed in USSR in late-50s, and Andrey Sakharov was one of the designers.

The problem is that you must detonate the charge as precisely as in a hydrogen bomb. I doubt that it's possible to make such weapons at home. The scheme shown on that page is as accurate as an H-bomb drawings in school physics textbooks.

If it was that easy - it should be widely used. And it isn't.

Terrorists are not short of cash.....
But there are easier and cheaper ways of causing havoc.

Then again.. whatever...nothing is different from 2 months ago...just some people's perception/understanding is.
