Duels you would like to see.
« on: October 05, 2005, 08:55:00 AM »
Was thinking of this late last night. What 2 people would I most like to see fight it out.
Here is what i would like to see and the set up.
1. best 2 out of 3 at 3 diff alts.
2. alts will be at 2k, 10k, and 20k

Now as to what people "d like to see do this .

Akak in a 38 of choise, can be a diff 38 for each alt.
Levi in a spit  of his choise, can be diff spit for each alt.

Now this is not meant to be calling anyone out or turn into a pissing contest. I have a lot of respect for both these pilots and there skills. This is just something I would love to see on film. Just 2 great pilots in 2 good fighters. Ohh and I already know I'd last about 2 turns before the both of them would have me shot down in a duel.

Now I'd like to see who every one else would like to see in this kind of set up.

:rofl :lol

This should be a good one to watch, if you have a couple of days.

Zazen Vs SHawk.  Give them 100% fuel and watch them stay a sector apart hoping the other guy runs out of fuel so they can pick him off on the way down.  SHawk may have the edge here sinse the 190s have a better range than the Tyffi
:rofl :rofl :rofl

Mane vs. Shane

Not only does it rhyme, but it would be worth it just to see what the loser says to the other on open channel afterwards :D

IMHO, Levi would win at least 4/5.

Its been done many times.  Films have even been posted in this forum.

Most of these kind of duels have been done.  They are usually out of the public eye though.

What you guys should understand is that once a certian skill level is reached you have a bunch of guys who can beat each other on any given night.  Some nights the shots fall other nights they dont.

That is why alot of these duels are not made public.  Just because player X beats player Y on Monday doesnt mean he can do it again on Thursday.  it also doesnt mean that player X is always "Better"  sometimes but certianly not always.

I agree with Nomak, but rather than settle some "who's the best" argument, I think the real value would come from being able to see the films from some seriously great sticks.

Like being able to replay a Kasparov chess match, minus all the geekyness associated with actually replaying a kasparov chess match...

I realy didn't post this to see who was better . It was meant to be more along the lines of showcase of superior SA and ACM. Not a final " see I'm better than you " duel. Like I said I have alot of respect for both these pilots. I thought a film of there duels in there respected aircrafts might be a great film .

Thinking I opened a can of worms i shouldn't have. Ahhh well .

I hope that Akak and levi when and if they read this....
Please read this with the spirit I intended .

Someone once said to me: "When two good sticks duel, he who makes the first, tiny mistake, looses the fight." It would apply to those kinds of duels as well i guess. And a mistake can happen anytime to anyone.

And i agree with Bronk. The films would probably be awesome to watch. Or very very short ;).

Is their a point that people stop asking to duel. When I first started this game I would duel 3 times a week with random people that I PO. I have not had a challenge in the last 6 months. Maybe it’s because I never really get mad our talk trash but that’s just me. Also ElevenK is not that bad and he can fly anything after leaving the JB's.
