Yes, creating an account is free and if this is your first time playing Aces High II, you will get a free two week trial.

H2H (Head-to-Head) is a free 8 player online option. There is also a 'single player' option (offline), where you can practice flying and shooting and try different settings. After downloading and installing the game, offline is a good place to get to know the game.

Have you already read the Getting started from http://www.hitechcreations.com? It's a good place to start your AH-career.

And welcome to AHII. :)

A note on the offline play. This game is mainly online with human beings as opponents. The offline drones only fly around the base you took off from and do not suffer realistic damage. In other words you can shoot both wings off and the plane still flies its predictable path around the base. You have to actually explode the plane to destroy it. This is not a bad thing and lets the game developer concentrate on the more important online aspects of the game.
H2H is sort of a mini arena and it's setup how the 'room' maker wants it. He can adjust certain settings and the planes available. For example he can make the fuel burn rate really low so you don't need alot of fuel or increase the ammo loadout above what the plane could carry in reality so you don't have to rearm.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.
