Laptop video question
« on: October 09, 2005, 12:27:00 PM »
I have a Dell Latitude C840 laptop 1.8G P4  with 640M DDR memory.  It came with a 32M video card.  The max made for this model was 64.  So I am getting a CDock II docking station for it.  It has two PCI slots in it.  They can run 2V-5V.  What video card do you recommend?  I wanted to get 256 DDR.  NVida has one and I also looked at a ATI.  The NVida card is recommended for a 250W minimum power supply.  So, I don't think I can use it.   I cant afford a desktop yet, so this is the only video upgrade available.  Any help is appriciated.  I can't get the onbard video to work with the game, it starts to load, and then goes back to my desktop, and creates an error report for Microsoft.  I have dx9.  The card is a GeForce 440 Go AGP 4X.
