Florida Python's Appetite
« on: October 12, 2005, 10:09:16 AM »
Seems the big snakes are getting hungry. Saw a news blurb on CNN this morning on a 10 footer that snagged a turkey and a siamese cat. There was another last week.. a 12 footer that tried to eat a 6 foot alligator.

LOL!

used ta be, yah didn't walk yer dog on the canals or near any lakes down there for fear the alligators would snap up your pet Lab. Now the alligators gotta watch out for the Burmese pythons..

Damn, but if there was a question about the wisdom of carrying a gun in florida while out for a stroll before, there's plenty of hungry reasons to pack a piece down there now... ;)

It's a shame people think they are doing their over-grown pets a service by letting them go in the wild.

It's just one more thing Florida's fragile ecosystem has to deal with now.

y'all dont need no gun permit in florida unless you want carry concealed, then you get it from the state not the sheriff and you don't need to give a reason, just be a nonfelon.
