Wow, How time flies! I happened to stumble across this page, and I can't believe it. It's true! Hitech and Pyro are making a game. Now before any of you rip me, no I haven't had a labotomy. So how's the game going? Is it better than Warbirds?

Yup that crazy bastard LLBM is running loose in here now. I'm 19.. be 20 in May. I moved out of that cesspool DC into Maryland 2 years ago. I've been doing pretty good... I knew it was only a matter of time before you found out about Aces High. What you been up to lately? You should give this a shot.. hell it's got a free 2 week trial to start off with!!!

 Remember the WB III mentioned a few years ago? Well, that is it under a new name. It is only a year out of beta and stuff gets added by a sh*tload every month. And not just some crappy new planes (though God knows we need those) - it's ground vehicles, anti-aircraft, torpedo boats (and they pack a lot of heat besides those torpedoes), controlled battlefleets and heavy bombardment guns.
 What about 3-d cockpits with real neck movement? Smoke, clouds, sunsets? Zoom (from 1:3 to realistk 1:1)? Smooth panning view? Saveable head positions? You will be  killed quite a few times while admiring scenery...
 How about using any number of controllers - sticks, pedals, gamepads, evem mouse - togeher to control your plane!
 The only thing missing was 6-calls and we are getting them in 2 weeks!

 In short, you are in for quite a treat. Enjoy!

Ah hell naw I hate the Ravens.. Skins are still my team!! There's a B17G, B26(some variant), Ju88 and a Lancaster MkIII. The gunnery system relies on human's only, none of that otto crap.. which is good but it's also lethal if the guy you're up against is a good aim. THere's no Dora yet, but we have the A5 and A8. Next version we are going to get a Ta152. I've been here for a little over a year.. Since Dec '99, but I was flying about a month before that. Since then there's been a lot of really cool changes and a new version is due out "soon". It's way ahead of WarBirds when WarBirds was this old. The graphics are fuggin cool too. Especially if you run 32bit colors, the sunset and sunrise are cool as hell and the cockpits are modelled in 3D so you can move your head around inside of them. Look left/right/up/down/backwards and then you can actually move your head to the left if you want to get a view around the nose and move your head up to look over the nose.

Download the front end, the controls are almost identical to WB, with a few changes.

Hey Dkid!

You finally emerging from seclusion after the Vikes collapse?  

Ya should be a Bear fan, we learned long ago never to get our hopes up, so we dont suffer when they lose (which is often of course).

Hell yes Aces High is good.  Its a blast, good flight modeling, with good cv stuff, player controlled task force groups and manable cannons for shore bombardment or anti-aircraft.

Ground vehicle fights are good too, panzer vs panzer alot of fun.  Current terrain doesnt encourage too many pnzr fights in my opinion though.

MOL is active in AH, and LLBM is now LLB in MOL. Yes, he is still a lunatic.

Fixed rate pricing is a great change to these games, and AH gets reasonably frequent updates to keep it fresh.

Hiya Dkid.

To answer your questions, the game is going great, and it's better than Warbirds.  

Warbirds is still pretty much where it was when you last played it.  It's a great flight sim for 1997 or so.

But HT and Pyro moved on and made a new toy for us.  

It's not perfect, but I could never go back to the old, dog-chewed, faded toy.
