There was NEVER a Spitfire IXc.

Icon tag should read "Spit F IX" only.

Kev, the 'c' designator was meant for internal use only.  It has been removed from the WEB page.

I didn't see .50 cals, I just see 4 x .303s...

Please point to the .50s...

I think he got confused by the stubs outboard of the 20mm's.

The stub would represent the area where the other 2 20mms could have been fitted. As it is an early Mk IX based on a Mk V airframe the layout is correct.
Also the small blister on the upper wing is correct.

Skuzzy - cc, just thought I'd point it out in case it was an error.

Maybe model the V with a large blister if the occasion ever arose to give us a 4x20mm spit V (hint)
NICE JOB by the way, looks great!!!

The Spitfire F.Mk IX had universal wings which could, technically, take four 20mm cannons.  The stub is where the second cannon would go.  In practice the option was never used, but the stub outboard of the 20mm cannon is always there on a universal winged Spit.

On the "e" wing the .50 cal is mounted inboard of the 20mm cannon.

In the cockpit screen shot... At the bottom of the glass on the right side....
Is it supposed to curve like that? Also why is the ammo counter at the bottom now?  Will we be able to read the gagues in the new spits are will it be like the P-47n where is a real dark cockpit?

Just curious
