"Don't get your hopes up... there is whining now when 'death' just means a re-up with nothing lost. Wait until these people have to 'work' for their rides and their personas, I guarantee you whining and other bs will be far more prevelent."
No doubt but the whines on the boards never bothered me much at all. A source of amusement and fodder for ridicule is about all they were IMO. I just couldn't stand the skyrocketing "noise" level in the arena. However for TOD there won't be a channel 1 or 200 nor PM'ing between sides so THAT problem is nixxed from the git-go.
"Besides, I'm comparing TOD to AW's Vietnam Fighters...)
HEY! AW:Vietnam wasn't vaporware. I've got the cobbled screenshots, artistic renders and the interview with Arnold to prove it wasn't.
"I will believe it when it is released."
I'm not worried about it being released. I think it wil over the next few months. What I am concerned about is how much of the AH "ma" will it have and how well the immersion one might experience playing it will be.
For me the whole crux of AW/WB/AH are the WWII pilots, aircraft and the combat of that war. I've never understood the appeal of a fantasy anything-vs-anything environment. If most people seem to want pseudo-aircombat in a fantastical, "RR" slap-fest type of arena why hasn't someone clued into that and come out with "Crimson Skies Online"?
