You get the advantage of the cannons, but isn't that an Allison pony?

It's not an A-36.

It's a P-51 (no suffix)

Yes it has an Allison engine.

It might be interesting to have the crappy engine but the good firepower. It's a self-balancing system, like taking the Hurr2C right now, you know?

I'd like to see it eventually, but it was very rare to have 4x20mm.

That is a P-51A Mustang.  That is the first model of the Mustang used by the United States Army Air Corps.  Pretty crappy plane if u ask me.

If I recall the brits rejected it due to poor performance. New engine was put in and the Brits loved it.

Isn't that the same version you always see a profile of with the Wright Field arrowhead on the side?
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

it is a P51a with 4x 20mm. I bet i could really get some ppl
upset if i get this scanner working. I have a picture of RAF
P-51c-d's with the 4x 20mm as well. Most of them were in
the 112 squad. The P51a served long long time in the war.

I believe the Brits liked it ok, and used it for low level and recon stuff.

The allison was a good engine down low. Up high with the bombers it didn't cut the mustard.

For at least the third time, the aircraft in the picture is NOT a P-51A.

It is a P-51.

Note the lack of the letter "A" after the "51".

The P-51A was armed with 4x.50 (2 in each wing).

The P-51 was armed with 4x20mm (2 in each wing).
