My Room...
« on: October 23, 2005, 06:36:14 PM »
Ok ladies and roughman..

I have decided on what I want to do with my room.

Bamboo Forest,

I want my room to feel like you are emersed in a large bamboo forest clearing.

Suggestions?

I've seen the bambo bricks, but it'd cost over $1k just to line the walls.

I've also seen the bamboo forest mural.

What I need to figure out is,

A: Do I put the bamboo mural and do bamboo trees around it repeating as necesarry?

B:How do I create the illusion of a forest ceiling? Leaves etc.

C:What do I use for molding? OR do I use molding at all?

It's gonna turn basicly into a meditation/sleeping/holodeck room.

Now I just need to find a hot asian chick that can hide in my closet and come out when I'm in robe and sword, and she can please the Samuri lost in a forest.

:lol

What's wrong with posters of cars, boobies and sports?  If you want to be in a bamboo forest and have a leopard linen bed with one of those drape thingys...get a girl that has one and sleep there.

CBS isn't a network...it's Cars, Boobies and Sports.

as a practicing martial artist and meditation expert i think bamboo is an excelent theme for creativity and peace of mind.

i lke your idea alot but i would want to go the whole hog and plant bamboo around the edge of my room and have atleast 3 or 4 hot asian chicks hedden in my room for when the house is quiet.
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

I'm def. gonna have bamboo planted in the corners atleast..

Hell, maybe I'll dig through the concrete to the dirt and voila!

Seriously guys, it's not just for me, it's for the resale value of the house.

After years of dealing with interior decorators I have come to the conclusion that 99% of then go to school for it to learn how to implement bad taste.

The largest problem most of them have is they learn all these really cool ideas and techniques and try to use ALL of them in the same room. LOL

Wife....I like the house
Husband....No friekin way
Wife....but really I want it
Husband.....If we buy that house first thing I do is rip that crap out
Wife......what If I be "Nice"?
Husband....NO...not even for that
Wife.....Really? you feel that strong?
Husband......Im not going to even talk about it anymore
Wife......Ok baby we can take the crap down...its sissy anyhow
Husband.......And the Pink bathroom WILL be repainted!!!!
Husband....I'll make the offer for 10K less for all the trouble
Wife....Ok whatever you want....Now can I be "Nice"
Husband......yeah, I guess....make me a sandwich first tho. :aok
Wife....Ok, you want a beer with that? :)

See, you really should go a different direction. This scenario will play out when you re-sell. All that work with bamboo and you still have a pink bathroom. You should consider a female decorator next time. The gay ones are just too far out in left field.
