The Avro Vulcan will soon be in the air once more. The National Lottery has provided funding at last.
"Avro Vulcan XH558 was bought on February 28th 2005 for the benefit of the Nation, by the Vulcan to the Sky Trust to be restored, flown for 10-15 years and then retired to the Imperial War Museum, Duxford, as the finest example of her type."
Looking forward to being deafened by those RRs again. I remember the terror mixed with excitement at hearing one of those things at RAF Finningley as a kid.
As for the SR-71, it's just a camera with a remarkably high speed shutter. ;)All mouth and no trousers. The Vulcan could at least kill a few million people with its nukes.
