I was afriad to bring it up, glad someone else did.

Be glad to see any of the series in here, but I think the IAR 81C would probably be the most likely to get included.

I think people would be really surprised at how well it could do in a historical matchup. Bring it on!

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

What's it speciality? It looks like it's a high-alt fighter due to it's length

Or is it a turn fighter?
Is it fast?
What's it's armament, does it carry any bombs?

Looks like a cross between a FW and a Jug

Bring it on. I'll fly it.
Speed dont bother me.
In the MA the only place speed is important is in getting to a fight or in running away from one

wtf even the A6M is faster than IAR lol.

IAR 80 looks funny. It has the fuselage of F4U and the cowl of La-5

i bet this plane has the diving capability of 190s

bring it on for eastern front ToD!

Would you duel me to lock accounts?  I'll take this "slow" ride and you can take an La7.

Bottom line:  We don't need 15 Spits, 10 109's, 7 190's, 5 Hogs, etc.  Just so you know, this "slow" ride gave the Allies fits when encountered.

I don't mean to be a "pooh-pooher" but despite my desire to see this (someday) in AH, I must add:

It's barely got the armament of the 109E, folks. The majority had 6x7.92mm guns or 2x20mm MG/FF (the bad kinda 20mm) and 4x7.92mm. Couple that with a top speed that arrives at 13k alt, and a top speed well below almost every fighter plane in AH to date, I don't care if they considered it manuverable (many considered the FW190 manuverable) -- it would be like a Fiat G.50 in this game -- manuverable but too slow and too weakly armed to be any major threat to any other plane in the game.

I just have to point that out to y'all :)

Having said that, I reiterate I'm all for it (some day) being added to Ah.

Never have heard much from the Allied side on this.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Here is some info on the plane from my book.

Crew-1
Powerplant-One IAR-built 701kW (940hp) Gnome-Rhone 14k 14-cylinder radial engine
Performance-Max speed (317mph)
                     Range (590 miles)
                     Service Ceiling (34,500ft)
Armanment- two 20mm (0.79in) cannon and for 7.7mm (0.303) MG.

Flew in 1938 and became operational in early 1942. About 125 were built to defend the Romanian oilfields. The IAR-81 was a fighter-bomber version but only few produced. IAR-80 had very powerful armament and remained in first-line service tell 1944. The aircraft had excellent handling characteristics and was highly manoeuvrable.

I like to have this bird in AH sometime.
