Schatzi what is your graphics card? What were your frame rates in FRAPS and did you have aa on?

Im sorry for the late reply daddog. Being the PC dork i am I needed Schutts help to figure out all that computer MumboJumbo first.

I got an AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3200+,  MMX,  3DNow, ~2.2GHz with 1 GB RAM

GC: ATI RADEON 9600 Series AGP (0x4150)

I wasnt running anti aliasing (its set to standard).

I usually have 75 fps (ingame) and 43 fps in film viewer. Swiching on AA earlier lowered the FPS ingame to about 55, in film viewer they stayed the same. Didnt make a test yet, if film quality is more eyepleasing with AA on (without much of a file size increase). Will have to try that.

One thing i noticed. My viewer FR dropped to single digits when theres another programm (MediaPlayer or WMM) running as well. Make sure you got everything shut off before recording (except viewer and FRAPS of course). Still i need to record the odd scene more than once cause of stutters and micro freezes in the viewer.

Edit: I record the avis with 30 FPS. When calculating the wmv file, i usually go for a max file size otion of about 6 or 7 MB per minute.

Thank you sir.

Well maybe I need that kind of video card.  I have a NVIDIA GeForce 660GT I am happy with. In game my frames are pretty much 75 with AA on (50's in a furball). Things are smooth as silk. When I view the film it is the same, but the moment I turn on FRAPS my frame rates drop to 5 or 6. :( Only when I turn off AA prior to watching a film in the AH film viewer will FRAPS run at 20 or 30 frames per second, but then the aircraft have those big jaggies.

I will make sure I don't have anthing else running.

Humm.

Good idea Straffo. I'm putting Schutt in front. A long way in front.

First frame went surprisingly well for the italians.

Hope we do as good in second one too.
