It's true...someone said so. I typed the following in word and am pasting here to make some kind of point...though I'm not sure what.
Film to reference for the following At the point the film picks up I've got 3 kills in the bag and am in between A19 and A1 on the map currently up (Uterus...don't know the real name sadly) happy as a clam furballing.
Something happened today that made me curious and I put on my statistics hat. Personally, I don’t play the game for its great rewards of perk points, score and rank. I play because I’ve been a member of my squadron for 7 years now and have been involved with many of the same people since I was on the ‘helium tank’ in Air Warrior free on AOL. I let my curiosity get the best of me and actually checked the stats on a certain player vs. myself after I was being bombarded on ch 200 about being a no-skill HO dweeb.
Since I used to coach baseball I have a thing for stats and thought I’d pick apart a few of them here much like I would for my players.
Player X as they shall be named to this point 4:00pm EST has 154:32:00 in game. That’s 6.4 continuous days sitting at their computer doing nothing but aces high while in a sortie. Thus far that’s 21% of the month. 720 hours this month in its 30 days. Figure you want 8 hours of sleep per day that’s 240 hours gone leaving 480 hours in the month. If they had a full time job they would need to devote 40 hours per week for 160 hours per month. 320 hours left. Let’s not forget an hour long lunch break…290. Travel time to/from work for the average Joe might be 30 minutes each way (it is for me) and poof…30 more hours down the tube and we’ve got 260 hours left in the month. In the morning I like to have an hour from alarm clock to starting the car to take care of the three S’s and get pretty for my day. ZAP 30 more hours down the tube and we’ve got 230 left. I spend 2 hours at the gym 3x a week for a full day at the gym per month…24 hours. WHAM…gone. 204 hours left. Since this is the 24th day of the month and thus far player X averages 6.4 hours per day (154hours divided by 24 days) we need to give them that to finish out the rest of the month. 6.4 hours x 6 days = 38.4 hours. Tack that on to their 154.5 hours is 193 hours total for the month projected.
Player X has 11 hours of the month left to cook dinner, eat his dinner, release his waste from dinner, do laundry, pay bills and do ‘things’ like things that include having friends, going to the bar and maybe seeing a movie.
Let’s not forget the time we spend waiting in line somewhere, traffic, getting gas or other stuff in this life that takes time…11 hours isn’t anything so it’s safe to say that something listed above is sacrificed in the normal hustle and bustle.
The conclusion I draw from this is that Player X has no life other than Aces high.
It’s time to take a look at their AH stats because if your life is to play the game…you’d think they would be pretty good.
Since today involved incidents fighter vs. fighter we’ll look there. Player X’s fighter stats are 327 kills over 219 sorties and 125 other-than-landing outcomes. 2.71 kill to death ratio and a 1.49 kill to sortie ratio. 7.4 kill per hour and he scores hits 4.8% of the time based on his hit percentage. Overall fighter rank…200.
My stats for the month are 27 hours in game for a just over an hour per day average. 163 kills over 118 sorties with 65 non-landing outcomes. 2.62 Kills per death, 1.38 kills per sortie and a 10.857% hit percentage for 9.252 kills per hour. Overall fighter rank…44.
Comparing them side by side that player X has a slight advantage over me in both kills per death and kills per sortie. I am slightly out front with kills per hour and have a marked improvement over player X for hit percentage.
Overall…I’d have to say player X has no life and I have just made mine equally pathetic by taking the time to figure this out and post for all to see. In addition, player X has very little to show for his pathetic existence because in attack, bomber and vehicle scores I also excel. There is also evidence of very much milk running on undefended strategic targets as shown by high bomber points and very few bomber kills. As I understand…this is a method of padding one’s score and rank and bolstering themselves in the eyes of fellow point weenies.
RManiac…you stink.
