Did you install the Saitek software first? Oh, you should install it in "advanced mode" or whatever it was called to be able to use the profiler software. If you did, then you can load Eagler's profile in the Saitek mapper (which should appear in your taskbar, a blue icon) - you don't have to map the buttons in AH when using a profile... But did you see the stick/throttle in AH or are they missing too from the joystick list?

bug at work right now but..

you have to install the software -BEFORE you hook up the stick to your computer

then after all that, place my profile under saitek/software

right click on saitek icon as panzer stated and you should be able to chose the AH profile, teh icon then changes color meaing it is loaded. then open AH and under jstick setup choose the x45 for all. my profile is for ext rudders so slight mod is needed if you are going to use rocker on throttle

let me know if you still have issues

The joystick seems fine and ok.
Also the software works i can activate the AH profile and it turns green in the taskbar.

But both with and withouth the profile it seems not to recoqnize the hatviews as 1st 2nd 3rd and 4rth It keeps highlighting regular buttons.
For example i push the second hat to the left than button 15 highlights.

When i load the profile it gets even worser it doesnt recocnize the pinky button the fire button on the throttle etc.

I dont see any functions under the loaded profile also.

Gawd bought me some problem here

bug
any assignment to the X45 you setup in AH with its jstick setup will overwrite the Saitek AH profile.
the pinkie switch is WEP in my profile, the bottom hat are the views(1st hat in AH) and the top left hat is zoom control, those will show up as buttons when pressed in AH.
When I first set up a new X45, I activate the profile, open ah, go to  joystick/select joystick then choose X45 and "set all inputs" to it. If you have peds, this is where you assign rudder to them.
Then I assign my views to the hats in AH. Until I do this, the views do not work from the profile but everything else is activated in the AH profile.
see screen shot below:

hope this helps
