I was sticking up for the French everyone seems to think that because of their current actions of the day that they were always like that.

i personally, being a brit, aren't particularly fond of the french, but i make exceptions for exceptional people;)

I would also like to point out that the British did NOT win the Battle of Britain.  It was Hitler himself who lost it.  Through no actions of the british were the germans defeated during that battle.  Had anyone with 2 brain cells been in charge of Germany, britain would have been spanked like a red headed step child.

ps. sorry i couldnt resist:D

but i dont dispute the fact that the americans have done a lot. a very successful and pleasant country. all i ask is for peeps to stop saying that britain didnt do anything during ww2. we did the same amount, if not a bit more than the americans during the war. there we go, now its settled:aok
