Another twist perhaps
« on: November 01, 2005, 08:02:08 PM »
While I was going through my battle plan it occured to me there was something missing..... more info. In the real war both sides had enough intelligence to know what airplanes were operating out of which fields (they actually knew enough to know which squadrons even.) Maybe in future FSOs, fields would be assigned actual aircraft. Don't know if it should be CM assigned or maybe each Frame CO would submit to the other or BBS which aircraft are at which field. These comes in handy if I were to decide that I want my 109s to match up against their P38s or the Allied CO might want to avoid airfields with 110s when flying B17s to target. Just a thought, what are your thoughts on this?

Actually they where assigned in the original orders and then the more I read them, the more it seemed like I was writing like the frame CO not the Admin. I felt I would leave those decisions to the them.

I like the idea, but when I Admin a Squad Ops for simplicity most or all AC can roll from any field. Falcon was going to do assign AC to specific fields, but to keep it simple I suggested otherwise.  It also makes things easier for the Setup CM on Friday night. Generally if certain AC can only roll from certain fields it should be reflected in the write up. I think it would be a good idea to attach that information to the orders that are sent out to the Frame C.O.’s.

I will keep that in mind when that is the case. Good suggestion.
