Need a new computer
« on: November 03, 2005, 05:03:07 PM »
Well I have finally convinced my dad that his computer(Windows 95, pentium processor:O ) is barely good enough to be a paper weight.  So i am currently searching for a build your own or pre setup system.  $600 or lower, need it for checking e mails and maybe playing games, but if its possible, good enough to play AH just so I can do FSO.  I've heard some low end Dell's can play it barely but I need a little more input.  No onboard video either please.
Who are you to wave your finger?

Go AMD, cheaper and Intel blows goats.

If you know how to build one check out http://www.newegg.com.

Very good prices on stuff.

I bought a refurb eMachines from TigerDirect.com.  Put in a real graphics card and added RAM and I am happy as a clam for under $450.
