Artifacting. Drivers? Bug?
« on: November 03, 2005, 10:28:10 PM »
Well today I finally reinstalled AH2 after about a year off. Nice to finally have the time to  play again.

Noticed a problem today though with artifacting.  I've only see it happen on one airfield (A60), and only on this one spot (right of NE runway in only this one area). Don't think its a major problem, but wanted to ask about it anyway

Screenshot can be found here:

Running an X850XT.  It is heavily overclocked, but saw the same problems at stock speeds. Temps are fine, card is watercooled.   Running the Omega drivers based on the 5.11 catalysts.

Pretty sure its not the card, I've run it at much higher clocks then I use on AH2 on several other games, ran ATI-Tool for an hour, and ran 3dmark03 & 05 looped for 1-2 hours each...and never seen artifacts before

Are their any know driver conflicts? Or any graphics settings that should be avoided in game? (running 1600x1200 w/ 4xAA 8xAF).

Thanks for the help :D

i dont think its anything to do with your computer. i see some ground
texture tiles blink/act wierd when im in a GV running over or near them.
i think its something in the new graphics HT  put in about 2 months ago.

you can see hills behind hills too sometimes.

In the latest version, I was seeing textures thru hills, something I hadn't seen in years.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

What's even more fun is completely invisible hills that your GV suddenly starts climbing up and over  ;)
