i hate having those midget carriers that look like theyre light carriers the carriers should not have the same weapons as each other too. i dont know the specifics of any certian carrier but i do know the the japanese would not have the same carrier as the americans.

* i hope you get what i mean because this kinda sounds like a rant and i cant think as clearly as when i came up with this due to the fact that i am pretty tired*

Last I checked the carriers looked like Essex Class Fleet Carriers. Maybe not to exact scale, but modeled on them.

1 thing to remember Billy is this isn't Japs vs US vs Germany. It's chess peices so all sides having the same carrier isn't that big deal.

Just have the carriers as a randomizer each time they spawn:aok Seriously though, it would be like limiting the sides to only certain airplanes for a tour.

In that case and in the case of senarios would be neat to have different carriers.

I would like to see one of the big Japanese fleet carriers added as well. The look of Japanese warships was quite distinctive from Western warships and it is nice to have that visual variety at times.

Just have it spawn the CVs randomly, 0 equals American and 1 equals Japanese, in the MA. Having the number switch would allow scenario makers and the CT to force a task force to be made up of Japanese ships or of American ships.

im pretty sure i have seen a Jap carrier in the SEA and CT. the huge Flattop version with a browny, and much wider flight deck.

might have been a dream of course.

Have different carriers spawn from diiferent ports. For instance, on a small map have each country start with two ports; one for each kind of carrier. This will make choosing between which port to take a tactical decision if one carrier is better than the other an no one can cry foul if we all start with a level playing field.

When the guys who flew off the "jeep" escort carriers during WW2 would get transfers to the fleet carriers, they used to rag on the fleet pilots by asking, " which runway do you guys land on -- the left one or the right one?"
